Free Wi-Fi, Computers & Devices

APNK Computers and Laptops

We have computers and laptops available for study, research, and personal use. This service is provided by the National Library through a partnership called Aotearoa People's Network Kaharoa (APNK).

The computers are Chrome devices, if you want to help using them try these instructions.

Please ask for help from one of our library staff members if you need further support with APNK computers. We offer bookable training sessions as well as on the spot assistance.

To login to the computers, you can use your library card and password or get a guest pass from the front counter. Guest passes can also be printed from the self-service kiosk.

The standard session is 30 minutes, and you can extend this or ask staff to help you with this.

Personal Devices and Wi-Fi

We provide free, unlimited Wi-Fi which is available to anyone inside or outside the library buildings 24/7 for your own device.

1. Connect to the network APNK Library, with password apnk2765.

2. Agree to the APNK terms and conditions.

There are power points available for charging your device in the library, please do not unplug anything and ensure cords are not in a walkway. If in doubt, ask the staff to suggest a suitable spot. Keep in mind the library is a public space so please don’t leave your device unattended.
