HOW IT WORKS

1. Set yourself a reading goal:

  • 26 books over 10 months
  • 70 books over 10 months

2. Complete your pledge:

  • Over the 10 months from 1 February to 30 November read as many books as you can and record them on beanstack or if you would like to keep your own manual record you will need to email marie.willis@mdc.govt.nz to let her know you are participating or call into the library and have a chat with staff. Please show a copy of your manual reading log if you are participating in monthly challenges.

3. Look out for:

  • At the end of each month everyone who has logged a book or submitted a review on a book they have written will go in the draw to WIN A PRIZE. Youth Prize, $5 Ice Cream Voucher!
  • Keep an eye out for Mini Challenges throughout the year.
  • Please note that reviews submitted may be used and shared on social media and within the library.

4. At the end of the 10 months, if you have met your reading pledge goal, you will go into the draw to win a Book Lover's prize:

  • If you complete the challenge via beanstack you will automatically go into the draw. If you are completing the challenge manually you will need to email marie.willis@mdc.govt.nz or bring it into the library before the 30 November 2023.
    • 26 Books: Book Lovers (prize valued at $40)
