Ancestry Library Edition is a database that you can access for FREE while you are at the Feilding Library to help you in your family history search.

It has unparalleled coverage of New Zealand and the United States and United Kingdom, including census, church, court and immigration records, as well as record collections from Canada, Europe, Australia and other areas of the world.

Stones Directories - These function in much the same way as a telephone directory and yellow pages, listing street addresses along with occupations. Regions covered are Dunedin, Otago and Southland; Canterbury, Nelson, Marlborough & Westland; Wellington, Hawkes Bay & Taranaki. The period covered is from the late 19th to the early 20th centuries. The directories are text searchable on computer.

Historic Photographs

We hold over two thousand photographs of Feilding and surrounding districts as hard copies in the Library. All of these plus more photos, journals, newspapers and snippets can be accessed digitally through www.feildingheritage.nz
