Every Tuesday throughout November we will be showcasing some of Feilding's unique and historical points of interest.

Join us for these FREE walks, talks and tours.

Tuesday 5th November

1:30pm to 3pm  - Mahoe House & Garden Tour:  Click here to register to join us on a tour of one of Feilding's iconic historical homes located at 171 South Street - Mahoe House.

Evening Event: 6:30pm to 8:30pm  -  Movie at the Library: We will be showing the movie " They Shall Not Grow Old". This is rated 16+. No need to register.

Tuesday 12th November

1:30pm to 3pm  -   Click here to register to join us on our hour long walking tour around Feilding's CBD. On the way we will be pointing out historical points of interest ending at the Library at 2:30pm with a cup of tea and a tour of our Heritage Room and a brief overview of the services we provide. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a rain coat/jacket and a drink bottle with you.

Evening Event: 6:30pm to 8pm - Due to unforseen circumstances Jill has  had to cancel her talk. Local Publisher and Author Jill Darragh was going to share her insights into her latest book in The Sweet Bitter series. She will also talk about the historical research she has done and does that creates the backdrop to her historical novels set in the surroundings of Feidling during 1888 to 1898.

Tuesday 19th November

1:30pm to 3pm -   Click here to register to join us on a tour of Central Archives, 40 Bowen Street, Feilding. Learn about what historical documentation the house there that could help you in your family serach.

FREE Evening Event: 6:30pm to 8:30pm - We have two local speakers to entertain you. 6:30pm to 7:15pm Felicity Logan will share historical photos and funny stories from the book "THE LAST SPIKE" that the Feilding Hisitorical Society produced.  7:30pm to 8:15pm Gary Nicols from Feilding Steam Rail Society will rely tails of the history to Steam Rail in Feilding.

Tuesday 26th November

FREE Evening Event - 6:30pm to 8:30pm - We have two speakers to entertain you and close out our series. 6:30pm to 7:15pm Dorothy Pilkington - 2017 Historian of the Year and author of The Signs of the Times - the sotry of Feilding Street names, will rely how she spent four years diving deep into Feilding township's history to write this book and other tales. 7:30pm to 8:15pm Val Burr celebrated local historian will share her wealth of knowledge and photos that she has collected over the many years she has been carrying out her research.
