Rajorshi Chakraborti has published six novels and a collection of short fiction. He was born in India, and now lives with his family in Wellington. His last novel, 'The Man Who Would Not See', was longlisted in the fiction section of the Ockham Book Awards, 2019. Raj's new novel, 'Shakti', a supernatural mystery thriller set amid the politics of present-day India, was published by Penguin Random House in February 2020.

Raj will read from 'Shakti', talk about the current period in Indian politics that shaped the story, and also share some of his street photography to bring alive the world in which the novel occurs.
