Jill Darragh has been an active supporter of the arts in the community, serving as chairman of the Manawatu District Arts Council, six years as chairman of the Manfeild Park Garden Festival, and served on the COGS committee for the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Recently, she completed three years as Chair of the Manawatu District Council's Creative Communities Committee. Since 2013, Jill has been running her own publishing business, Rangitawa Publishing, which has published over seventy books, representing over 200 New Zealand authors in the last seven years. She has published five of her own novels, two novellas and a collection of articles written for the Manawatu Standard. Also two plays which have been performed at the Feilding Little Theatre.
