The Social Network

DVD Movie Rated M

An interesting and measured telling of the story of the founding of Facebook focusing on the very first creation of the idea, its growth and development and the initial people behind the company. The movie then continues to some of the lawsuits among the early members of the company and some colleagues of Mark Zuckerberg from Harvard who felt he stole their idea. Told partly in flashback and partly in 'present time' during the hearings for the lawsuit. An entertaining and informative almost documentary style movie. As always it pays to remember the story portrayed may bear little resemblance to what actually happened in real life. It is worth noting that as the movie is over 4 years old now the statistics shown in the closing credits are well out of date.
